Course Content

You will have the opportunity to develop management skills within the hair and beauty industry, including opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge in business planning/development, hair and beauty therapies, spa therapy, complementary therapies, and lifestyle advice.

This course will also provide you with the opportunity to specialise in areas relevant to your career development.

Course Aims

This course is aimed at those who are currently employed in the industry and who wish to develop their management skills within the area of hair and beauty.  It will provide you with a solid foundation in management skills, which can either be applied to the hair and beauty sector or transferred to other industries.

Special Features

This qualification will be delivered through blended learning with online and face to face sessions at our Magherafelt campus.

Assessment Methods

Grading for this qualification is pass/fail.

You must be at least 18 years of age and have achieved a minimum of a Level 3 qualifications in the hair or beauty industry. 

Where students wish to have prior education and/or experience taken into account, in lieu of meeting the full course entry requirements, they should contact the relevant Course Director or Admissions. APEL applications must be submitted at least 2 weeks before the start date of the programme. More details can be found in the APEL Policy.

This course will enable those already in employment in the hair and beauty industry to progress to hair and beauty management and/or provide opportunities to progress to higher education.
