This course will provide you with a basic understanding in setting and operating CNC Machinery – across a range of abilities and experience. The course is ideal for those candidates who wish to learn or enhance skills which employers in the engineering manufacturing sector desire from prospective employees.
It will cover CNC machine construction, machine language (understanding program format and terminology), recognition and application of common types of cutting tools, essential machine parameters for optimum performance, using machine controls and secondary functions safely and accurately – all of which combine to give you a fundamental knowledge in setting and running CNC machines in producing engineering parts to specification (incorporating conformance checking).
Please note that it is a requirement for learners to provide their own Personal Protective Equipment for use in this class.
