Course Content
This course is aimed at practitioners employed in health and social care who aspire to enhance their leadership and management skills. There are 10 modules of study which include:
- Governance and Regulation
- Safeguarding and Protection
- Person centred Outcome: Best Practice Performance Management
Course Aims
To equip those employed in health and social care with the skills to enhance their practice in leadership and management both within teams and of teams.
Special Features
The programme is taught by industry experts who have vocational and management experience. The course is supported by NISCC and RQIA.
Assessment Methods
All assessments are internal. You will produce short assignments, use case studies, and reflect on your practice to meet criteria.
You must be in paid employment in Health and Social Care, candidates will have an opportunity to attend pre-entry interview. GCSE English and Maths (or equivalent) are desirable.
Where students wish to have prior education and/or experience taken into account, in lieu of meeting the full course entry requirements, they should contact the relevant Course Director or Admissions. You will have the opportunity to progress to Level 5 Leadership and Management in Health and Social Care which are the minimum standards required by RQIA to manage a Health and Social care setting.
