Students studying digital games development at Northern Regional College will have an opportunity to try out their innovative ideas and creative skills with other aspiring young game developers at the Northern Ireland Student Game Jam. The NI Student Game Jam will take place between Monday, 24 October and Wednesday, 26th October. The online event is aimed at students attending a FE college or university in Northern Ireland and is billed as ‘must attend’ for any serious gamers currently doing a BTEC, HND/C or degree course.

Two Ballymena Engineering students will represent Northern Regional College in the WorldSkills Competition 2022 Special Edition (WSC2022SE) in Luxembourg this month. Adam Kirkpatrick and Cameron Middleton will compete in the Robot Systems Integration category and will be part of the 35 strong Team UK selected to compete in the WSC2022SE competitions. Team UK will compete against 10 other countries including Japan, Germany, Austria, and France.

Northern Regional College alumna, Casey Doran, who successfully completed a Level 3 Extended Diploma in Children’s Care, Learning and Development, has encouraged young people to prioritise their future ambitions. Casey studied at the College’s Ballymoney Campus and has since progressed to Edge Hill University in Ormskirk to study Primary Early Years Education with Qualified Teacher Status.
