Tara McClean, a Level 5 Creative Media, Web & App Development student, has graduated from Northern Regional College’s Newtownabbey campus. Tara undertook the course after completing a gap year once she left school after her A-Levels. While reflecting on her pathway, she said: “I studied IT as an A-Level at school and this course reflected all the elements from that I enjoyed, as well as incorporating modules and topics I wanted to learn more about.”

Eireann McFadden has graduated from Northern Regional College with a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Children’s Care Learning and Development. Reflecting on her time at the College’s Ballymoney campus, Eireann outlined how she completed her Level 3 Childcare at school before progressing to Northern Regional College: “Being able to gain work experience while studying my Level 3 at school, and Level 5 at Northern Regional College, Ballymoney has really helped in deciding the career path I want to fulfil.

The two friends studied a Foundation Degree at the College’s Ballymena campus. When discussing what they thought of their time at the College, both enjoyed their time there, with James describing it as “nothing short of fantastic”.

Gaining an accredited Health and Social Care qualification at Northern Regional College in Newtownabbey has helped a young County Antrim woman secure full-time employment. Helena Boyle from Crumlin, who was awarded a Level 4 Diploma in Social and Community Work, was among the Northern Regional College’s HE students to graduate at the College’s 2021 graduation ceremony in the Tullyglass Hotel. The ceremony was originally scheduled for December 2021 but was postponed due to Covid restrictions.
