A ‘bespoke, collaborative approach’ has helped Northern Regional College work in partnership to support over one thousand local employers. By identifying local businesses’ needs, the College has implemented a number of apprenticeships, traineeships, business development and further education programmes which have allowed the companies to be directly involved in the skills development of their employees.

The WorldSkills UK national finals are over for another year but competitors - including the 11 Northern Regional College representatives - must wait until this Friday, November 26 to hear if they are among the medallists. The winners of the coveted gold, silver and bronze medals will be announced by TV presenter Steph McGovern, in a special event live from her Channel 4 Packed Lunch TV studio at 4pm on Friday 26 November.

AAT (Association of Accounting Technicians) has announced that Northern Regional College (NRC) has been approved to offer its professionally accredited qualifications – marking the first time a Further Education (FE) College in Northern Ireland has been given approval to offer these courses.

Northern Regional College is now offering face-to-face advice and support sessions for sixth form students interested in a career in health and social care. The College is hosting a Higher Education (HE) Careers Fair and Information Session at its Newtownabbey campus on Wednesday 24 November 2021, as well as at its Magherafelt campus on Thursday 25 November 2021. Both events will run from 10:00am to 4:00pm.

One Kind Word for Anti-Bullying Week

Performing Arts students at Northern Regional College have produced one-minute videos to help raise awareness among their peers of the damage that bullying can do. The videos, on the theme ‘One Kind Word’ will be shared on the College’s social media platforms during Anti-Bullying Week 2021 (16 – 20 November).
