A young Ballymoney woman who completed a BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma in Construction and the Built Environment at Northern Regional College is on track to graduate from Queen’s University, Belfast this year with a BSc (Hons) degree in Architecture. Instead of completing her A levels at grammar school and following the traditional academic route to university, Lizzie Cheung opted for the vocational route. She has no doubt that this was the right decision for her.

The GGJ, the world's largest game creation event, takes place this year between Monday, 22 January – Sunday 28 January. This annual online event gives gamers an unique opportunity to develop innovative ideas and hone their creative skills, contributing to this global spread of game development.

The awards recognise the influential partnerships between employers and training providers who have excelled in professional development and training, as well as outstanding apprentices for their significant contribution in the workplace.
