Northern Regional College students Michael Kearney, Rachel-Rose Mallon and Catriona O’Neill all achieved top marks in their Business Studies course at the College’s Magherafelt campus. They were each awarded a triple Distinction* grade in the BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma in Business Studies, which is the highest possible grade and is equivalent to three A*s at A-Level.

Stephen Harris, who completed the Level 3 Extended Diploma in Sport at the College’s Newtownabbey campus with a Distinction* and two Distinctions – the equivalent of three A levels – now plans to do a Coaching degree at Liverpool John Moores University.

Jakub, who is originally from Poland and now lives in Belfast, completed a Level 3 Extended Diploma in Travel and Tourism with an overall distinction profile, achieving two Distinction* grades and a Distinction. The former is the highest possible grade, equivalent to an A* at A-Level, securing him a place at Liverpool John Moores University.
