Northern Regional College has been shortlisted in four of the seven categories for NI Apprenticeship Awards 2024. The awards recognise the influential partnerships between employers and training providers who have excelled in professional development and training, as well as outstanding apprentices for their significant contribution in the workplace. The winners will be announced on Wednesday March 26.

Newtownabbey student Adam McClurg, who was awarded a Higher National Diploma in Animal Management at Northern Regional College’s recent Higher Education graduation, is among the first group of students to complete the qualification at the College.

Gregory, who was awarded an Institute of Leadership and Management Level 5 Certificate in Leadership and Management is married with four grown up daughters. He said his graduation photograph will take pride of place in the ‘Rogues’ Gallery’ at his Portstewart home.

The restoration of a late 19th century listed building in Coleraine will provide an important link between the old and the new in the town. Fully funded by the Department for the Economy, Northern Regional College’s impressive new campus at Union Street incorporates the former St Patrick’s Church of Ireland school buildings on Brook St. The campus design is sensitive to the townscape and heritage of the area and, with its main entrance from Anderson Park, it will create a stronger link between the College and town centre.
