Looking to Kickstart a Career as a Computer Numerical Control (CNC) Machine Operator?

Northern Regional College in conjunction with the Department for the Economy (DfE) are offering an opportunity for twelve individuals to gain the skills to take up Computer Numerical Control (CNC) roles within seven of Northern Ireland’s engineering & manufacturing companies:- Creative Composites, Lisburn, Datum Tool Design, Lisburn, Smiths Engineering, Ballymena, Moyola Precision Engineering, Castledawson, Crossen Engineering, Newtownards, IPC Mouldings, Carrickfergus and Whiskin Precision Engineering, Belfast.

The Academy will be a five week intensive training course at the Northern Regional College, Farm Lodge Campus, Ballymena followed by a three week placement with one of the participating companies.

If you successfully complete the training course you will gain a Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering and the opportunity to participate in an on-site work placement where you will receive further training and mentoring in a CNC role.

All applicants must be at least 18 years old by Monday 6th January 2020, currently eligible to work in the UK and have either:

- GCSE’s in both English and Maths at grades A-C (or equivalent) and an additional 3 GCSE’s (or equivalent) in any other subject at grades A-D

OR

- At least one years’ experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment
