Stephanie Brown-Crilly, an Access Diploma in Social Science student, has graduated from Northern Regional College’s Ballymena campus after deciding that the teaching style at the College suited her better than school. “I wanted to go to university, knowing I was meant to end up in a social science related role,” the Ballymena local said.

“Northern Regional College was a way for me to access university and delve deeper into a subject I was interested in as opposed to studying three or four different subjects at school.”

Outlining her experience at the College, Stephanie found the lecturers at Northern Regional College extremely encouraging and were with her every step of the way.

“The course wasn’t always easy, but I found the lecturers to be fantastic and really helped the class remain focused especially during times of stress and pressure.”

Stephanie said she loved the course and in particular she found the anatomy modules interesting.

The course also helped Stephanie decide what she specifically wanted to do in healthcare, as now she is currently studying Occupational Therapy at Ulster University’s Magee campus.

Stephanie hopes to continue with her education and specialise in paediatrics in the future.
