“I had been working in Health & Social Care roles including care homes and residential homes and my lecturer, Siobhan McIldowney, really inspired me to take the next step in my career with her support,” she explained.
However, despite only graduating, Stacey is still a student, and is currently studying Nursing and hopes to graduate once again next year from Ulster University.
“I knew that Nursing was for me based on my previous work experience. When the opportunity to study my Level 5 Leadership, Management & Health and Social Care presented itself, I knew it would help me in climbing the management ladder once I became a nurse.”
Reflecting on her decision to aim to make a difference within the healthcare sector, Stacey said: “I will always advise others to take the educational route, build their confidence and aim to make a real impact where they’re able.”
Stacey started studying in 2018 and undoubtedly proud when she says “it’s all falling into place”.
