Northern Regional College is collaborating with the other Further Education colleges across Northern Ireland to help support the recovery of the retail sector. The ‘Retail Recovery’ programme, which is fully funded through the Department for the Economy’s Flexible Skills Fund and Skills Focus programme, will kick-start with bespoke training this month through a series of webinars on support available, accessing finance and people management.

With A Level, GCSE and BTEC results all out next week, the pressure is on to make the right decision as courses start fill up and options begin to narrow. Northern Regional College is the only Further Education College in Northern Ireland to use SACU, an independent and impartial source of careers information and online tools, to help students research their future career.

Engineering students from Northern Regional College’s Ballymena Campus took part in the national UK Skills Industrial Robotics Competition. The second stage of the competition took place in Farm Lodge over two days. A total of twelve students from a variety of engineering courses, including Level 3 Extended Diploma, Higher Level Apprenticeship and Foundation Degree, participated in the competition where they performed an offline programming task set and assessed by FANUC Ltd.
