David Watson, Managing Director of Ryobi Aluminium Casting (UK) Ltd., has received an Honorary Fellowship from Northern Regional College. The Mayor of Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council has held a special reception to celebrate the outstanding success of three Northern Regional College apprentices. Carpentry apprentices Samuel Gilmore from Aghadowey and Patrick McCloskey from Garvagh along with plumbing apprentice Abigail Reilly from Ballymoney were special guests at the event held in Cloonavin which was also attended by their lecturers, family members and employers.

Over 150 local primary and post-primary pupils from the Magherafelt area have taken part in an educational initiative to showcase computer science opportunities at Northern Regional College. The Department for the Economy funded ‘Bring IT On’ event was designed to inform young people about opportunities in computer science and encourage them to consider a career in IT.
