Rafal Fila, an Engineering student at Northern Regional College, has been awarded the Concorde Cup after achieving the highest grade possible in his BTEC Level 3 Diploma at the College’s Farm Lodge Campus finishing with a triple distinction* grade profile. Originally from Poland, Rafal (21) has been living in Northern Ireland for the past 12 years and previously attended Ballymena Academy.

Mature student, Sandra Streeter, who completed a Level 3 Diploma in Fashion Design at Northern Regional College was one of the Highest Achieving Students recognised at the College’s recent awards ceremonies. Originally from Colombia and now living in Broughshane, in County Antrim, Sandra, who is in her forties, admitted she was initially apprehensive about undertaking a Fashion & Design course as a mature student. A university graduate with teaching experience in her native Colombia, she met the course entry requirements but was still concerned about her artistic ability.
