Building on the success of the pioneering dementia friendly café at the Gilaroo Nursing Home in Larne, health and social care staff and students at Northern Regional College have helped oversee the launch of another dementia friendly café, this time in Newtownabbey. The Willow Tree dementia friendly café in Wood Green Residential Care Home has been spearheaded by Jacqui McAllister, Curriculum Area Manager for Health and Social Care at the College’s Newtownabbey campus. Continue ReadingThe Open University has approved Northern Regional College as a new strategic validation partner launching 2024/2025, offering three new higher education (HE) programmes. From September 2024, subject to validation approval, students at Northern Regional College will be able to study for OU-validated Foundation Degree courses in Housing Practice and Cloud Computing with Cyber Security, and a Certificate of Higher Education in Health Care Practice.
