This course aims to help you develop a wide range of music skills, allowing you to become a versatile artist who can self-produce, compose, and perform, or a producer with the technical ability to engineer music and play instruments when needed.
Are you ready to make your mark in the music industry? This dynamic course is your opportunity to develop your skills as a performer, composer, and producer. Over two years, you’ll gain hands-on experience in both the creative and technical sides of music, from creating and performing your own material to recording and producing in a professional studio. With access to our state-of-the-art facilities and industry-standard software, including Apple Logic Pro, ProTools, and Ableton, you’ll be equipped to take your music to the next level. Plus, you'll have the chance to showcase your talents at our newly restored St. Patrick's Centre, a professional venue where you can perform for live audiences.
This course blends practical skills with theoretical knowledge, ensuring you leave with a strong foundation in music production, performance, and the business of music. Whether you’re looking to jumpstart your career in the industry or continue your studies at a higher level, this course will give you the tools and experience to succeed.
Throughout the course, you will gain hands-on experience with industry-standard equipment, taught by professionals in the field. You will regularly work with top-tier gear, including:
All modules are assessed through coursework, including written blogs, presentations, performances, and compositional portfolios.
Directly into the music industry as a producer / performer, or continue on to a related university degree
Applicants must be at least 16 years of age on or before 1 July in the year of proposed entry, and hold a minimum of four GCSEs at grade C or above. Candidates should demonstrate a genuine interest in music, performance, and/or production, which will be assessed through an interview and a short performance in St. Patrick’s Centre.
