25-Year-old Matthew Vandyk enrolled on Level 2 Apprenticeship in Motor Vehicle at Northern Regional College, Ballymena Campus.

With a keen interest in cars and how they work the Level 2 Traineeship in Motor Vehicle was a great starting point for Matthew.

“This course and the College’s brand-new industry standard facilities and computer systems have allowed me to get the on-hands experience to develop my skills and knowledge in the motor industry.”

Matthew found an employer placement during his Level 2 Traineeship and is currently in his 1st year of the Level 2 Apprenticeship in Motor Vehicle with ambition to own his own family business and specialise in EV.

“I hope to open my own family garage, based in the Coleraine area, to move into and specialise in the EV industry.”

The Level 2 Traineeship prepared Matthew for employment and the Level 2 Apprenticeship, helping him achieve his career aspirations.
